The Exaviz Home Assistant Plugin (v1.0.5) is a custom integration that brings PoE monitoring and control to your Home Assistant dashboard. Manage your Exaviz PoE ports alongside your other smart home devices.

What It Does
- Monitor PoE port status, power consumption, and connected devices in real time
- Control PoE port power directly from the Home Assistant dashboard
- Identify connected devices by MAC address and manufacturer
- View board information including hardware, firmware, and system details
- Track SoC temperature and total power draw

The plugin automatically detects your board type and adapts accordingly. No manual hardware configuration is needed.
Requirements
- Exaviz board with PoE support (Cruiser or Interceptor + PoE Board)
- Exaviz PoE packages (
exaviz-dkms,exaviz-poe-tool) installed from the Exaviz APT repository - Home Assistant 2024.12 or newer recommended (Container installation recommended). Older versions back to 2024.4 work but require manual frontend resource registration.
- HACS (Home Assistant Community Store) for installation
Home Assistant Installation
We recommend installing Home Assistant as a Docker Container on your Exaviz board. This provides the best compatibility and ensures access to PoE hardware. See the Installation Guide for details.
